Mr. Bar was elected to the 20th Knesset on behalf of the Zionist Union, and serves Deputy Speaker of the House, member of the Special Committee on Drug and Alcohol Abuse and acting member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. He also chaired the Lobby for the Promotion of Industry and Employment in the Periphery, the Lobby for Jerusalem, the Lobby for Resolving the Israeli-Arab Conflict (the Lobby for the Two-State Solution).
